Supreme Court dismissed Hemant Soren plea asks to go to High Court

  Hemant Soren approached the Supreme Court opposing the ED arrest. But the Supreme Court rejected the appeal of the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand. In Friday's hearing, the Supreme Court informed that Hemant's arrest case will be heard in the High Court. The Supreme Court will not take any action in this regard. It is to be noted that on Thursday Hemant was sent to a one-day jail custody by a special court in Ranchi. Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant was arrested by the ED in a money laundering case on Wednesday night. The JMM leader approached the Supreme Court opposing the arrest on Thursday morning. A bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud fixed the hearing on Friday. Earlier on Thursday, a special court in Ranchi sent Hemant to jail custody for one day. SC issues notice to Lok Sabha secretary general on Mahua Moitra's expulsion

  The Supreme Court sent a notice to the Lok Sabha Secretariat in the case filed by Mahua Moitra regarding cancellation of the post of MP. The Supreme Court wants to know why Mahua's MP post was cancelled. The Secretariat has been asked to respond within 3 weeks. The next hearing of the case is after March 11. In the Lok Sabha, allegations of questions in exchange of money were raised against Krishnanagar TMC MP Mahua Moitra . Following the ethics committee's proposal, the TMC MP was expelled from the Lok Sabha. He was not even given a chance to defend himself. After that, Mahua approached the Supreme Court. Last month, Mahua also requested for speedy hearing of the case. But that application was rejected. The Supreme Court heard the case on Wednesday. On this day, the Solicitor General on behalf of the Lok Sabha Secretariat claimed in the Supreme Court that the proceedings of the Parliament are subordinate to the Speaker.
