Supreme Court dismissed Hemant Soren plea asks to go to High Court

Hemant Soren approached the Supreme Court opposing the ED arrest. But the Supreme Court rejected the appeal of the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand. In Friday's hearing, the Supreme Court informed that Hemant's arrest case will be heard in the High Court. The Supreme Court will not take any action in this regard. It is to be noted that on Thursday Hemant was sent to a one-day jail custody by a special court in Ranchi.

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant was arrested by the ED in a money laundering case on Wednesday night. The JMM leader approached the Supreme Court opposing the arrest on Thursday morning. A bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud fixed the hearing on Friday. Earlier on Thursday, a special court in Ranchi sent Hemant to jail custody for one day.

After the hearing started on Friday, the Supreme Court said that they are not interested in hearing this case. Rather, Shibu Sorenputra should apply to the High Court. There, Hemant's lawyer Kapil Sibal questioned that this matter is important enough to arrest the Chief Minister. In his reply, the bench of judges said that the courts of the country are open to all people. And the High Court also works according to the constitutional system. So Hemanta should appeal to the High Court against the arrest. After this order of the Supreme Court, the future of Hemant is in doubt. Whether his jail term will be extended, which way the ED investigation will proceed, there are questions about everything.
