Special arrangements for devotees attending Gangasagar Mela 2024

 

Gangasagar Mela at the beginning of the new year. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee held a meeting in Nabanna on Wednesday to review her preparations. Additional trains and buses will be run for the convenience of pilgrims. Additional launch arrangements are also available. Not only transportation, extra security arrangements have also been made for the fair. There are more than 1000 CCTVs. In case of death in an accident while going to the fair, there are also insurance benefits.

 


The Gangasagar Mela 2024 will run from January 8 to 17. 15 ministers were present in the chief minister's meeting at Navanna regarding that preparation. 18 top officials of the department. District administration of South 24 Parganas also. The Chief Minister inspected the preparations for the fair on this day. In Mamata's words, “Gangasagar Mela is the biggest fair in India. At least 40 lakh people will gather.” Special measures are being taken to ensure that pilgrims from home and abroad do not face any difficulties.

The Chief Minister said that 15-16 additional buses will run every day. A total of 2,250 government buses will ply. Additional 66 trains will run. Additional launch arrangements are also available. 22 jetties are being strengthened. Not only the transportation system, there is an additional CCTV system for the security of the fair. Chief Minister said that there will be 1 thousand 150 CCTVs in the fair premises. There is GPS and satellite tracking system. Not only surveillance through devices, there will be enough police in the fair to avoid untoward incidents. 2 thousand 400 civil defense workers. Lots of civic volunteers too. As well as going to the fair in an accident. Beneficiaries will also get an insurance benefit of Rs 5 lakh in case of someone's death.

Govt ready with rules for CAA, sources in the government said

  The 'Citizenship Amendment Act' or 'CAA' may be implemented across the country before the Lok Sabha elections. Such is the claim of a source of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Trinamool's Mahua Moitra vacates Delhi bungalow after eviction notice
