Special arrangements for devotees attending Gangasagar Mela 2024
Gangasagar Mela at the beginning of the new year. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee held a
meeting in Nabanna on Wednesday to review her preparations. Additional trains
and buses will be run for the convenience of pilgrims. Additional launch
arrangements are also available. Not only transportation, extra security

In case of death in an accident while going to the fair, there are also
insurance benefits.
The Gangasagar Mela 2024 will run from January 8 to 17. 15 ministers were present

The Chief Minister inspected the preparations for the fair on this day. In
Mamata's words, “Gangasagar Mela is the biggest fair in India. At least 40 lakh

Minister said that 15-16 additional buses will run every day. A total of 2,250
government buses will ply. Additional 66 trains will run. Additional launch

of the fair. Chief Minister said that there will be 1 thousand 150 CCTVs in the
fair premises. There is GPS and satellite tracking system. Not only
surveillance through devices, there will be enough police in the fair to avoid
untoward incidents. 2 thousand 400 civil defense workers. Lots of civic
volunteers too. As well as going to the fair in an accident. Beneficiaries will
also get an insurance benefit of Rs 5 lakh in case of someone's death.
