Calcutta HC orders arrest as soon as possible in Sandeshkhali incident

 

High Court reprimands the police in the case filed by the ED in the Sandeshkhali incident. Accused three thousand, arrested only four people why? The judge raised this question. If there is a desire for a fair trial, the court ordered the arrest of the accused quickly. It was reported by the state, not 3000, but 800 to 1000 accused.

Ordered to bring case diary tomorrow. The judge expressed his excitement about the arrest. He said to the AG, arrest the accused if you want a fair trial. On this day, the ED lawyer told the court that the names of Shankar Adhya and Sheikh Shahjahan were obtained from the sources of Jyotipriyo Mallick. ED officers were attacked while searching there. Instead an FIR is lodged against the ED officers. A request was made to give the investigation of this whole incident to the CBI.

The advocate general of the state said that a total of four people have been arrested. After that, the court asked who is investigating now? Advocate General Kishore Dutta said that the local police is investigating under the leadership of DSP. The judge asked why three thousand accused arrested four people? Advocate General said, not three thousand, 800 to 1000 accused. The judge questioned the role of the police. Said, why not added section 307? Why is Najat police still under investigation? So far the main accused has not been arrested. According to the ED, Shahjahan was at home during the incident. The judge also raised the question whether the police had entered the house at all after all the incidents.
