Shahjahan Sheikh absconding, BJP launches Nazat Police Station gherao rally

 

Sandeshkhali TMC leader Sheikh Shahjahan is missing even after a week. ‘Nazat Thana Abhiyan’ of BJP raising questions about the role of police. There is intense tension around the police station siege operation led by the state president Sukanta Majumdar. Orange Camp tried to break the police barricade and reach Nazat police station. Clash between police and BJP workers-supporters. Sukanta is in position in front of the barricade.


"In any case, I will submit a deputation to Najat police station", Sukanta Majumdar threatened on Thursday morning. According to the specific programme, the BJP state president raided Nazat police station with party workers and supporters. However, several steps were taken by the police to stop the BJP. Section 144 has been issued up to 1 km from Nazat police station. BJP workers and supporters including Sukanta Majumdar were prevented from entering the area. Ignoring the police barriers, the leaders and workers of orange camp started breaking the barricades one by one. Sukanta got into an argument with the police. Allegedly, women policemen were brought forward to fight BJP workers-supporters. Later, the BJP state president sat in front of the barricade on the road.

Sukanta mentioned the collusion of TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh, who was involved in the ration scam case with the policemen. He also showed the photos on his mobile phone as evidence. It is to be noted that on January 5, ED went to Sandeshkhali in search of Sheikh Shahjahan. After this, the officials were attacked by the followers of Shah Jahan. Since then he has been a TMC leader. BJP claims that Shahjahan has covered his life with the help of police. He is also sarcastically called the 'king of the green island'. He also demanded the resignation of the Superintendent of Police. If the BJP comes to power, Shahjahan's house will be bulldozed.

Govt ready with rules for CAA, sources in the government said

Trinamool's Mahua Moitra vacates Delhi bungalow after eviction notice
