Burdwan Station Accident: Water tank broke down in Burdwan station

 

Terrible accident occurs at Burdwan Station in Bharadupur. At least 30 people were injured when the water tank collapsed. 3 people are expected to die. This accident during the busy time has naturally created a lot of excitement in the area. Fire & disaster response teams have reached the station.


It is known that the 53,000 gallon water tank was located between platforms 2 and 3 of Burdwan station. Like other days, Burdwan station was full of passengers on Wednesday morning. Many passengers were waiting for the train under the shed. The water tank was right above that shed. The accident happens suddenly. The huge tank collapsed. Passengers under the shed were buried under the debris. At least 30 people were injured. The incident caused a lot of excitement in the area. Police, railway officials quickly reached the spot. Rescue work begins.

The injured have already been rescued and taken to Burdwan Medical College. Three passengers are feared dead. Meanwhile, due to the accident, train movement was stopped at platform number 1, 2 and 3 of Burdwan station. It is known that the water tank was painted recently. However, no internal repairs have been done. As a result, the state has accused the railways of negligence. Passengers are in great fear in this incident. Incidentally, in 2020, one person died after the shaft of Burdwan station collapsed. Another accident in Burdwan.

Trinamool's Mahua Moitra vacates Delhi bungalow after eviction notice

ED Summoned Dev: Actor-politician Dev appears before ED

  Actor and Trinamool MP Dev responded to ED's summons. Dev was summoned by the ED to investigate the case filed under the Prevention of Financial Fraud Act.
